SamDawkins Consultant Cardiologist

Next Steps

Whatever stage you're at, here's the simplest way forward.

Most people arrive here after reading about a condition or procedure and thinking “right — what do I actually do now?” This page answers that. Find the line below that fits you and take that one step.

The simplest route

Call the Cleveland Clinic London Contact Centre on 020 3423 7500 (Mon–Fri 07:30–20:00, Sat 07:30–15:00) or email cclappointments@ccf.org. They book appointments for Dr Dawkins at both the London and Oxford clinics. You’ll get the details and expected fees in writing before the visit.

For anything that isn’t booking — a question first, or a brief summary of a complex case — email Dr Dawkins’s secretary at clinic@samdawkins.com or call 020 3423 7483.

If you have a referral

Bring or forward the referral letter from your GP or specialist. Some insurers require one to authorise the visit. Then book by the route above.

If you’d like to refer yourself

That’s fine — you don’t need a referral to see Dr Dawkins. It helps if your GP is in the loop, but you’re welcome to book directly and have a discussion.

If you’d like a second opinion

Second opinions are very welcome, and Dr Dawkins is asked for them often, particularly in complex cases. Send as much of your previous documentation as you can — clinic letters, results, scan reports — and let us know which hospitals carried out any imaging so it can be requested for review.

If you’re an international patient

You’re welcome to be seen in person in London or Oxford, usually after a triage video or telephone call with Dr Dawkins first. With the right information up front, the consultation, any missing investigations and the procedure can often be arranged within a few days of each other on a single visit. Email clinic@samdawkins.com with a brief summary to set this up.

If your situation is urgent

For urgent issues an initial consultation can often be arranged within 24 hours. Call the Contact Centre on 020 3423 7500. If you develop urgent symptoms and it’s a medical emergency, dial 999.
